Mae Hawthorne

Mae Hawthorne, 92, of Pt. Arthur died Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, Gulf Health Care Center.

She was a native of Diboll and had lived in Port Arthur 54 years.

Survivors: her husband, Zora Hawthorne of Port Arthur; daughters, Mary Lou KING of Broaddus and Doris OSTRANDER of The Woodlands; a brother, J. C. Fairchild fo Athens; sisters, Annabel STRINGER of Orang, Bernice LEDET of Sour Lake, Johnnie HAWTHORNE of Kountze, and Corine HAMILTON of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Levingston Funeral Home's chapel in Groves. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery in Roganville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with burial at 2 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery near Jasper. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Diboll, she had lived in Port Arthur 54 years. Survivors include her husband, Zora Hawthorne of Port Arthur; daughters, Mary Lou King of Broaddus and Doris Ostrander of the Woodlands; sisters, Annabel Stringer of Orange, Bernice Ledet of Sour Lake, Johnnie Hawthorne of Kountze and Corine Hamilton of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers, J.C. Fairchild of Athens; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
