KIRBYVILLE ? Funeral for Irene Sargent Christian, 84, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Kirbyville First Baptist Church with burial in the Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Christian died at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Mixson Memorial Hospital. A native of Angelina County, she was reared in Tyler County and moved to Kirbyville in 1908.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Blake of Kirbyville, Vallie Dee Richardson and Josephine Matthews, both of Houston; four sons, R. W. Christian of Houston, B.F. Christian of Channelview, Raymond Christian of Porter, Tex., and Weyman Christian of Kirbyville.

Delia married Daniel Newton Jones on 20 Feb 1910 in Jasper County, Texas. Daniel (son of Newton B. Jones and Ruby Beatrice "Bedah" Kelley) was born on 25 May 1887 in Kirbyville, Jasper County, Texas; died on 16 Feb 1961 in Rutland, Worcester County, Massachusetts; was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia. They separated sometime before 1920, when Delia can be found remarried to Robert William "Willie" Christian. She and daughters Dorothy and Vallie D JONES (listed as stepdaughters to Willie) can be found in Kirbyville, Jasper County, Texas. The 1920 Census listing for Daniel was not located.

2. Vallie Dee Jones was born about 1915 in Jasper County, Texas; and died.
