Barbara's brother, Joseph, worked alongside Clyde Everett for the Central Michigan Railroad. Sandra Sauceda says that's how Clyde met Barbara. Sandra further speculates that the fact that they lived in the same household in Indiana before they moved to Niles, Michigan, might also explain why they hardly spoke to each other after they both moved.
