    Survived by her husband Frank; children, Alyson (Dylan) Schenk, Jase Robak (fiance Stacy Loos), and Cleo Ben Robak, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Reghan, Aidan, Lennon Schenk, Camree Robak; mother, Ann McDonald, Geneva; sister, Janet (Pat) Wieser, Columbus; brother, Jerry (Kris) McDonald, Lincoln; many other family, friends and loved ones. Preceded in death by her father.

    McDONALD, WILLIAM EUGENE *BILL*--William Eugene McDonald, son of Orval and Anna Wright McDonald, was born August 6, 1928, at Geneva, Neb. He spent his entire life in this vicinity. He attended Geneva public school and graduated with the class of 1946.

    He was inducted into the Navy, September 18, 1950, where he served four years. He was honorably discharged July 8, 1954. ON his return from the service he went into business in Geneva.

    In 1952 he was united in marriage to Anne Jirkovsky. To this union were born three children, Janet, Sandra and Jerald William.

    The last seven years he was employed by the Biba Engineering.

    He passed away near Kearney, Neb., on June 12, 1975, at the age of 46 years, 10 months and 6 days.

    He is survived by his three children, Janet, Sandra and Jerald at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orval McDonald; one sister, Colleen, and husband Wallace Brown, of Fairbury, Neb.; sister-in-law, Madeline Wilson of Rawson, O., nieces Cathy (Mrs. James Nichols) of Fairbury, Neb., Susan Brown of Fairbury; nephews, David McDonald of Russels Point, O., Tommy Mack Brown of Fairbury; grand-niece and nephew, Angela and Jeffrey Nichols of Fairbury.
    He was predeceased by a sister Audrey and a brother, Jerald Deane.

    Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, 1975 at St. Joseph Catholic church in Geneva with Father Walter Banach officiating. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Pallbearers were Marlin W. Bahe, Loren Hofferber, Charles P. Curtiss, Warren Rischling, Leonard J. Bornschlegl and Dean Garrett.

    She worked at the Geneva State Bank while still in High School. In 1952, she married William E. McDONALD, who was in the Navy at Coronado, California. They lived there until 1955, coming back to Geneva. They had three children: Janet teaches in Columbus; Sandra works at Columbus Bank and Trust, married Frank ROBAK and has Alyson and Jase; Jerry married Kristi HEDDEN and lives in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill McDONALD was killed in an accident by Kearney, Nebraska, on June 12, 1975. (Milligan, p 322).

    Obituary for Ann H. McDonald

    Ann H. McDonald was born to Charles J. and Anna (Korbelik) Jirkovsky on January 6, 1930 at Geneva, Nebraska, and she passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 17 days. Ann was one of 6 children born in the family.
    Ann spent her entire life in and around Fillmore County. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1946 at age 16 and began working at Geneva State Bank in Geneva. She married Bill McDonald in 1950 and they had three kids, Janet, Sandy and Jerry.

    They moved to San Diego California where Bill was in the Navy and Ann worked in a Bank. On returning to Nebraska, Ann again worked at Geneva State Bank and later worked at the Nebraska Extension Office in Geneva, as well as a bookkeeper for several businesses in Geneva.
    Ann was a woman of faith and was a lifelong member of St Joseph's Catholic Church. Ann was active in Mothers Club, Bridge Club and Alter Society. She loved listening to Polka music, dancing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

    Ann was preceded in death by her mother Anna (Korbelik) Jirkovsky and Father Charles J Jirkovsky both of Ohiowa; brother Leonard Jirkovsky of St Joseph Missouri; sister Blanch Jirkovsky of Omaha; brother Charles Jirkovsky of Cedar Rapids Iowa; brother Rudy Jirkovsky of Ohiowa; and daughter Sandy Robak of Lincoln.

    Ann is survived by her daughter Janet Wieser and husband Pat of Columbus; son Jerry McDonald and wife Kris of Lincoln; sister Mildred DeRosbil of Omaha; seven grand-children; four great-grand children; and many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services for Ann were conducted from Farmer and Son Funeral Home in Geneva, Nebraska on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Tom Walsh officiating the service. Ron and Nancy Fleecs played guitar and sang "On Eagles' Wings," "Psalm 23," and "Song Of Farewell."

    All of Ann's grand children were pallbearers including Alyson Schenk-Lincoln, Jase Robak-Lincoln, Ashton McDonald-Lincoln, Molly Wieser-Columbus, Betsy McDonald-Lincoln, C. Ben Robak-Lincoln, Alex Wieser-Columbus. Interment was held at the family burial plot at Bohemian National Cemetery in Milligan Nebraska. Memorials are directed to the family for later designation.     He attended country school north of Milligan, graduating from eighth grade. After graduation, he worked for several different farmers in the area, in the livery stable in Milligan and as a bartender for Jicha's tavern. (Milligan, p 321).

    He came from Czechoslovakia as a stow-away on a ship. He worked as a laborer for several farmers. (Milligan, p 321). At the time of the 1920 Federal Census, he, Mary, and 13 year old Rudolph were living in Glengary Township. Both were shown as being born in Bohemia, with Rudolph being born in Nebraska. Joseph was a laborer for the railroad.

    Joseph married Marie "Mary" Baloun before 1888.
