VACLAV CECRLE LAST RITES HELD AT MILLIGAN

Vaclav Cecrle, son of Joseph Cecrle and Barbara Heida, was born in Krtice, Czechoslovakia, March 4, 1869. He passed away Sunday, July 13, 1958 at the Warren Memorial hospital at Friend Neb., at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 9 days.

He came to this country with his parents at the age of 21, and they settled in Saline county.

February 22, 1897, he was united in marriage to Barbara Naimon. They settled on a farm south of Tobias, and later moved to their farm in Saline county, where they farmed 44 years. He retired from farming in 1945, when his wife passed away.

This union was blessed with 12 children, five dying in infancy.

In 1957 he moved to Milligan from his farm, but his heart was always there where he loved his garden and flowers. He was a kind father and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy.

He was an active member of Z.C.B.J. Krivoklat and served as its secretary for 25 years. Eight years ago he was honored by being presented a 50 year membership pin, of which he was very proud.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, James and Frank; firve daughters Marie Peterman, Agnes (Mrs. Henry Kral); Leona, Mrs Rudy Kassik), Anna (Mrs. John Matejka) and Blanche (Mrs. Edward Kubicek); 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Anton Cecrle and Frank Cecrle; three sisters Agnes (Mrs Frank Naimon), Barbara (Mrs. Fred Kottas), and Anna (Mrs. Mike Augheny) and a host of relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife Barbara, five children, one brother Joseph, four sisters, Josie Cecrle, Emma, Frances, and Mary.

Vaclav married Barbora Heida Naimon on 22 Feb 1897 in Nebraska. Barbora was born on 7 Aug 1872 in Bohemia; died on 28 Mar 1945 in Tobias, Saline County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian Brethren Cemetery (AKA Cesky Bratri Cemetery), Fillmore County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
