Marvin Arnold Nadherny was born to Arnold James and Norma Jean (Vojta) Nadherny on September 2, 1957 in Friend, Nebraska and passed away February 2, 2012 in Milligan, Nebraska at the age of 54 years, and five months. He was one of three children.

Marvin attended kindergarten through twelfth grade at Milligan Public school, graduating in 1975. In the spring of 1974, he rented some farm ground one mile east of Milligan, which began his farming career. Shortly after purchasing his own ground, he began selling Pioneer Hi-Bred seed with his father Arnold; upon his father's retirement, he took over the Pioneer Seed Dealership and in 1999 became a Certified Crop Advisor. Marvin and his son Michael started Nadherny Trucking, LLC in 2007. Marvin has also kept a large cow and calf herd for many years.

Marvin was baptized into the Zion Lutheran Church of Tobias, Nebraska. He married Theresa Marie Meyer on April 11, 1981. Together they had three sons, Daniel Lee Nadherny born June 21, 1983; Michael James Nadherny born February 18, 1985; and Brian Marvin Nadherny born April 20, 1988. In the spring of 1994, Marvin and Theresa divorced, and Marvin and the three boys moved to Marvin's grandfather's farm south of Milligan.

Susan grew up in Curtis, Nebraska and has two children, Clinton Phillip Ruppert born September 24, 1982 and Amanda Jean (Ruppert) Holmquist born July 13, 1987. Together Marvin and Susan purchased his great-aunt's home in Milligan. In 1999, they began remolding the house and have furnished it with several antiques which they purchased at auctions together.

Marvin was active in the Milligan City and Rural Fire Departments, a member of the Fillmore County Zoning Board, the Glengary Township Board, and the Milligan Community Club. He served as the commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post #240 and was the president of the Milligan Alumni Association. He also served with the Fillmore County Pork Producers and the Milligan Action Club. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Ohiowa, Nebraska.

Marvin enjoyed farming which he considered his hobby as well as his occupation. He also enjoyed collecting antique farm equipment and a variety of pigs and travelling with Susan. Some of his favorite vacation locations included Devil's tower in Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and cruising in the Caribbean.

Marvin lived a life full of love for farming and making friends. He always enjoyed a good adventure, from whitewater rafting to parasailing, and tried to have as much fun as he could. He had a great sense of humor that will continue to touch the lives of his family and friends. He will be missed and remembered by many.
