William married Mary Ellen Cramer. Mary (daughter of Helfer Cramer and Christina Boomershine) was born about 1853 in Indiana; died about 1937. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
|
3. | Mary Ellen Cramer was born about 1853 in Indiana (daughter of Helfer Cramer and Christina Boomershine); died about 1937. Notes:
The 1920 obituary of her brother, Charles, shows he was survived by a Mrs. William Jackson of Wabash. She had been married previously, possibly with children from this previous marriage, according to the 1910 Wabash County, IND census. On that she was shown as married twice, and the mother of 7 children total, only four still living. Only one son, William Jackson age 15, was listed with she and her second husband in 1910. Dean Cramer shows that she married first Owen KENNEDY.

6. | Helfer Cramer was born on 10 Oct 1816 in York County, Pennsylvania; was christened on 29 Dec 1816 in St. Joseph's Lutheran Reformed Church, Brodbeck, York County, Pennsylvania (son of Christian Cramer and Maria Catharina Werner); died on 19 Jun 1915 in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana; was buried in Renicker Cemetery, Lagro, Wabash County, Indiana. Notes:
Helfer Cramer
HELFER CRAMER, a substancial and well-known farmer of LaGro Township, was born in York County, Penn., October 10, 1816, being the oldest son of Christian and Catharine (Wanner) Cramer, who were natives of Pennsylvania, but of German descent. Helfer received a fair education in the rude schoolhouse of early days, and at the age of nineteen years commenced learning a trade, which he followed in Darke County, Ohio, where he had located in 1839. In 1844, he came to Indiana, moving upon the site of his present home in 1850. Mr. C. has been twice married; his first wife was Maria Reniker, who survived her marriage about five years. The present Mrs. Cramer's maiden name was Christina Boomershine, a native of Darke County, Ohio. They are the parents of five children, viz:, Marry Ellen, Eliza Ann, David F., Charles H. and Margaret S. Mr. C. has spent a life of industry and usefulness, and is in possession of a handsome competence in his declining years.

12. | Christian Cramer was born on 30 Jul 1788 in York County, Pennsylvania; was christened on 31 Aug 1788 in Saint Jacobs (Stone) Union Church, Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania (son of Johann Helfer Cramer and Henrietta Sophia Neudig); died on 12 Jul 1863 in Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio; was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Seneca County, Ohio. Notes:
Clarence Cramer indicates that his baptismal sponsors were Christian and Christine RUHLMAN. He said that after his marriage, Christian and Catharina lived near the Stone Church. He moved to Fostoria, Ohio, in 1837. (p. 57).
Dean Cramer writes that he lived on Uncle Daniel's farm next to Helfer. Moved to farm in Fostoria, Ohio. Dean thinks that Christian's 9 children were probably born in Fostoria, and lived mostly in Indiana. The source for most of Christian's descendants was Louis Haley
