Dale Rubel shows her as a daughter of Ardus "Arch" MATTOX and Minnie Alice NEWBERRY. She appears to have married second a Mr. Griffin, and is shown as Myrtle Ophelia Griffin on her Texas Death Certificate. She died from head and chest injuries in a two car accident in Sabine County. The informant was her sister, Mrs. Marjorie BARLOW. Her parents were listed as Arch L. Mattox and Minnie Alice Newberry.

Amos (son of James Andrew Clark and Martha Rosella Smith) was born on 1 Nov 1900 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; died on 10 Jul 1991 in Jasper County, Texas; was buried in Antioch Cemetery, Buna, Jasper County, Texas.
