    RUTH JOAN CROCKER, 86, of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. She was a member of Park Avenue Church of Christ. Mrs. Crocker graduated from the Methodist School of Nursing, and enlisted as a nurse in the Army Air Force. She was assigned to the base hospital on Randolph Field, located in San Antonio, TX during WWII, where she was a nurse 1st. Lt. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George H. Crocker. Mrs. Crocker is also survived by her daughter, Gwynn and her husband John Kemmerzehl; one nephew, Michael and his wife, Susan Grogan; one niece, Gail and her husband Chris Poindexter. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 16, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association or donor's choice. Memorial Park Funeral Home (Published in The Commercial Appeal 2/15/2007)
