His daughtet, Paula Marquis (CyberSily@aol.com) writes that she "found birth certificate showing his name was really Albert Bennet Cage Jr, don't ask, can't find traces and baptismal showing Frederick V. Davis - which he used all his life." The SSDI shows his last residences as being in Kenner, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Frederick married Helen Jesse Hughes. Helen was born on 11 Oct 1920 in Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana; died on 24 Oct 1988 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Helen's daughter, Paula Marquis, emailed that Helen was a daughter of Clyde Benton Hughes [Senior] and Leona Hughes (nee Cayard). Leona died shortly after the birth of the youngest of her four children.

Records show that Leona Cayard, wife of C. B. Hughes, was buried at the Lafayette Protestant Cemetery, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.

Her husband, [Col.] Clyde Benton Hughes Sr., was buried at the Denham Springs Memorial Cemtery, Livingston Parish, Louisiana some years later, as was his namesake son. (Row 84, #2211 and #2212).
