Hiram Washington Brewster was a medical doctor in the Vimville community in Lauderdale County. He married Laura A McLemore, daughter of Amos and Mary Jane McShan McLemore, on November 3, 1892. They had 8 children: Francis (Coker) 1893-1985, Fred 1895-1983, Paul 1897-1900, Hiram Mutt 1900-1977, Sarah Jane (Gough) 1904-1997, Amos Hamilton Hamp 1907-1972, John M 1910-1973, and Corina Victoria (Stodard) living.

Hiram married Laura A. McLemore on 3 Nov 1892 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Laura (daughter of Amos McLemore and Mary Jane Leanoriah McShan) was born on 16 Jul 1872 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi; died on 13 Aug 1931; was buried in Coker Chapel Cemetery, Lauderdale County, Mississippi.
