    Helen Zager Smith, 75, of Jasper died Friday, March 10, 1995, at a Beaumont Hospital.

    She was a native and former resident of Sabine County. Mrs. Smith was also a former resident of Flagstaff, Arizona, and had lived in Jasper several years, where she was a member of Bishop Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the Mathews-Miller Department Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Smith.

    Survivors: two sisters, Clarice Key of Pineland and Sue Erzen of Jasper; and a brother, Tony Zager of Buna.

    Funeral services were held Sunday at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home--Jasper Chapel with Bro. Robert Cheek officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Park Cemetery in Jasper.
