Merritt Mullen shows her as a daughter of William Henry Fairchild and Louisa C. Dickerson. Henry Lee notes that she and Dr. W. Lafayette Lee were first cousins.

Mary married Dr. W. Lafayette "Fate" Lee in Oct 1870 in Mississippi. W. (son of Henry Elijah Lee and Nancy Mary McLemore) was born on 24 Mar 1852 in Perry County, Mississippi; died in May 1923. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Henry Lee shows their marriage as being on 16 Oct 1870 in Ellisville, Jones County, MS. Merritt Mullen instead lists it as 15 Oct 1870 in Copiah County, MS.

He shows them as the parents of Robert, Fletcher, Willie, John Homer and Birdie Ethel LEE.

He does not show a daughter, Addie V. LEE, as listed by both Merritt Mullen and the 1880 census, unless Birdie is a nickname for Addie.
