William married Lydia Lowe on 6 May 1828. Lydia was born between 1803 and 1805 in New York; died on 27 Aug 1867; was buried in Edinburg Cemetery, Wayne Towship, Jones County, Iowa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Since Wm lived in Morrow Co., OH in 1850, I assume this is Morrow Co., OH.
Lydia (Howe) Sanford (born NY) is buied in Edinburg Cem., Wayne Tsp, Jones Co., IA - died 08/27/1867 age 51 1 month 22 days [Census records would instead indicate she was approximately 61]

Their dau, Lucina, is also buried there. died 12/25/1858 20 yrs 9 months 23 days

2. Allen Sanford was born on 30 Dec 1833 in Ohio; died on 23 Aug 1872.
3. Lucina Sanford was born about 1838 in Ohio; died on 25 Dec 1858 in Iowa; was buried in Edinburg Cemetery, Wayne Towship, Jones County, Iowa.

Notes:

Oliver was a Deacon in the Baptist Church for many years. He was a farmer in Poultney, Vermont.
On 25 May 1795, Oliver and Catharine Green Sanford signed a quit claim of all rights in the Susquehanna Purchase, which had been willed by their father Robert Green to his children. The estate was distributed 29 August 1846.

Oliver married Catherine Green on 3 Feb 1791. Catherine was born on 2 Mar 1775; died in 1846. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

In 1777, Oliver served in the Connecticut Militia in the Revolutionary war. He was captured by the British at the time of the Danbury raid, April 1777, and carried to New York. (Connecticut Men in Revolution, p. 493)
After the war he sold his tannery and removed to Poultney, Vermont, where he purchased a farm. He owned one right in the Susquehannah Purchase as an original proprietor. (Milford Land Record Book 24, pp. 363, 561).

Oliver married Phebe Newton. Phebe was born about 1748 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

The Sanford genealogy incorrectly calls Phebe Newton the daughter of Joseph Newton; she was the daughter of Jonah Newtown and Phebe Platt. The error is based upon a misinterpretation of a deed: "All the children united in a deed conveying their rights in the estate and lands of Joseph Newton, late of Milford, Feb. 10, 1808, to Jonah Newton (Milford Land Record 24:363 & 561)." Joseph Newton, who died at Milford 11 November 1807, was Phebe's brother, not her father, and the Jonah Newton to whom the land was transferred was probably her other brother.

David married Rachel Strong in Mar 1730. Rachel (daughter of Elnathan Strong and Patience Jenner) was born on 20 Jun 1713 in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut; died on 12 Sep 1777 in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
