1. Anna Mae Harrell was born on 29 Apr 1888 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 7 Mar 1955; was buried in Vance E. Vickers Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas.
2. Mable L. Harrell was born on 24 Nov 1890 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 20 Jul 1973; was buried in McGown Cemetery, Milam, Sabine County, Texas.
3. James Reuben Harrell was born on 30 Dec 1894 in Isla, Sabine County, Texas; died on 25 Dec 1986; was buried in Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Geneva, Sabine County, Texas.
4. Chapman Harrell was born on 26 Apr 1896 in Sabine County, Texas.
5. Sallie Bell C. Harrell was born in Jun 1898 in Sabine County, Texas; and died.
6. Robert Leon "Rip" Harrell, Sr. was born on 4 Jan 1900 in Texas; died on 13 Jul 1946 in Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas.

Robert married Sarah M. "Sallie" Collier on 25 Dec 1905 in Sabine County, Texas. Sarah (daughter of George Washington Collier and Sarah Elizabeth Tatum) was born on 18 Feb 1863 in Mississippi; died on 7 Sep 1925. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

In June, 2010, Garland Lively emailed "I am a descendant of William Harrell of Wythe County, Virginia and belong to a group of dedicated researchers who have been attempting for years to find connections among the various Harrell families. I am most interested in determining the ancestry of Reuben Harrell who settled in Sabine County, Texas about 1860. My interest is in determining his ancestry and possible connections to the other North Carolina Harrell families who migrated to Georgia and then onward to Texas."

An excerpt from my file on the Texas Harrells: Reuben Harrell was born 1825 in Pulaski County, Georgia and married Charity W. Lampkin 8 Jul 1857 in Pulaski County, Georgia. Reuben migrated to Sabine County, Texas by 1860 and married second, Permelia Jane Mason, widow of George W. Neal. He had three children born between 1866 and 1871 in Sabine County, Texas. Nothing further is known of this family but it is suspected that he is a descendant of Levi Harrell 1750 of Anson County, North Carolina as Levi had numerous descendants who settled in Pulaski County, Georgia."

Dale Rubel shows him as the son of Job Mason and Anna Cole. A Job Mason was living next to James Mason (possible brother of William) at the time of the 1850 Sabine County, Texas census.

Judith Denman instead shows him as a son of David Mason and Isabella Teague, and brother of John and James.

INFO: Came to Texas through Alabama with brothers John & James. Received land grant of one league and one labor and served as Sheriff & Tax Assessor of Sabine County, TX.

MARRIAGE: "Alabama Marriages Early to 1825" by Jordon R. Dodd & Norman L. Moyes. Wife's name listed as Juda instead of Judith.
