Terris Ellis had additional information, noting that she had a copy of original marriage record Feb 21st, 1877 Cumberland Co., NC., of "Redden McLemore of Rockfish Township, aged 51 years, color White, the son of B. McLemore and Sallie McLemore, the father now dead the mother dead, Residents of__________ having applied to me for a LICENSE OF MARRIAGE to be celebrated between him and (2nd) wife Caroline Isel, aged 47 years, color white daughter of William Hollingsworth and No Known the father now dead the mother __________, residents of ________.

    I. Joseph Evans, a Presbyterian Minister united in Matrimony Redden McLamore and Caroline Isel the parties licensed above, on the 22 day of February 1877 at the residence of Daniel Smith in Rockfish Township in said county, according to law. Joseph Evans.
    Witness present at marriage:
    W. E. Smith of Rockfish township
    Sarah Smith of Rockfish Township
    N.A. McQueens of Rockfish Township

Note: Terri Ellis believes that the "B" refers to Byus/Bius, short for Tobias. She believes that Caroline Isel may be Ezzel, as she is living with her son Luther C. Ezzell in Robeson Co., NC on the 1900 Census. Redden's first wife Susan Register McLemore's sister Margaret was married to a Michael Ezzell, so she wonders if Michael and Caroline's first husband may have been related.
