    Lucy married Howell McLemore on 19 Dec 1842 in Southampton County, Virginia. Howell (son of James McLemore and Rebecca ???) was born after 1804 in Sussex County, Virginia; died before Jun 1844 in Southampton County, Virginia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Married:
    Alexander and Howell McLemore married sisters, the daughters of John W. WOODFORD; Alexander married Sarah M. WOODFORD upon a marriage bond issued to them on July 16, 1842 (Southampton Marriage Register, p. 520), upon which Howell was security, and Howell married Lucy I. WOODFORD upon a bond issued December 18, 1842 (Southampton Marriage Register, p. 525), upon which his brother James was security. It is said that neither of these marriages resulted in children. (James L. McLemore, III, p 79).
