In February 1800 John received bequests as guardian of his four children from the estate of Thomas WOMMACK. (James L. McLemore, p. 64).

When Thomas Womack, grandfather of the above children made his will 20 Jan 1794; he stated "I give ten pounds to John Menore[McLemore's] childrn namely James, Elizabeth, Polly and John which is to be out to use of schooling the said children."

They married prior to 1788, at which time they jointly witnessed the marriage on January 17, 1788, of Anselm HARRISON and Elizabeth GEE (Southampton Marriage Register, p. 54).
