The son REV. HENRY SMITH, and his second wife, Dorothy Smith, he married Mary Ensign, daughter of JAMES & SARAH (ELSON) ENSIGN, about 1662.

He had a four acre homelot adjoining Henry Smith in Wethersfield on the south, which he sold to Samuel Boardman. He removed to Northamption, Mass about 1666 and to Hadley, Mass. about 1680.
