Robert McLemore Butler writes that he married second Mary Ann Register, born ca 1822, and died after 1871. He shows the date of marriage as 31 Mar 1858. He had also shown this second marriage as being instead to a Mary Warters.

John married Susannah McLemore before Nov 1809. Susannah (daughter of Elias McLemore) was born about 1785 in Sampson County, North Carolina; died about 1850 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
