Shown on the THACKER FAMILY TREE on Ancestry.com as born ca 1847 in Sabine County and as dying on 26 Oct 1868 in Sabine County. John W. Clark, the author, shows the same dates. It would appear that Irene in childbirth, her youngest son James Felix Clark being born that same day.

At the time of the 1910 census, Elias's second wife, Mary Josephine Wallace, was shown as being the mother of 11 children, 10 still living. It therefore appears that Irene would have been the mother of the three children living with Elias and Mary Josephine at the time of the 1870 census.

Irene married Elias Clark before 1864. Elias (son of Elijah Clark and Jane Lagrone) was born on 4 Jan 1843 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 24 Jul 1910 in Sabine County, Texas; was buried in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. John Alexander Clark was born on 11 Jan 1865 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 13 Aug 1881 in Sabine County, Texas; was buried in Griffin Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas.
2. Sidney Ann Clark was born on 10 Feb 1867 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 15 Aug 1930 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; was buried on 25 Aug 1930 in Griffin Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas.
3. James Felix Clark was born on 26 Oct 1868 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; died on 30 Sep 1933 in Cherokee County, Texas; was buried in Rude Cemetery, Croft Community, Cherokee County, Texas.
