Frances Jane Hornbeck

William Everheart notes that Jane Easley age 65 born TN shows up in the 1860 Van Zandt census with the Murphy family (an original Sabine County family) along with a William Easley. This Murphy family is a descendant of a Willis and Priscilla Murphy. Priscilla was born 1801 in GA and I suspect she was either a sister of Daniel or of Frances Jane Hornbeck. (Email dated 7 Jan 2000 from weverheart@worldnet.att.net). Janie Easley Vance instead shows her place of birth as Georgia, per census records.

Frances married Daniel Bush Easley before 1816. Daniel was born between 1790 and 1792 in Georgia; died after 1850 in Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. James Hornbeck Easley was born about 1817 in Tennessee; died about 1862 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas.
2. Clementine Watterson Easley was born on 26 Dec 1820 in Hickman, Smith County, Tennessee; died on 5 Nov 1895 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas.
3. Elizabeth Easley was born about 1821 in Tennessee; and died.
4. Daniel Bush Easley, Jr. was born about 1825 in Mississippi; and died.
5. Mary Easley was born about 1827 in Mississippi; and died.
6. Nancy Easley was born about 1829 in Mississippi; and died.
