Isaac Raines

Notes:

Isaac purchased 39.83 acres of land from Natchitoches Land Office, September 1, 1849 by cash sale. He has seven known children. Living with the family at the time of the 1850 Sabine Parish censu is 10 year old Cynthia A. Anderson. Casagranda believes she is the daughter of Wade Anderson (brother of Mahala Anderson Raines) and Emaline Vines. Also living in the home was 38 year old Thomas Raines, believed to be a brother or other relative of Isaac's. (Casagranda, 1850 Census, 24).

Isaac married Sabina Barr about 1844. Sabina was born on 23 Oct 1822 in Texas; died on 22 Nov 1877 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana; was buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Sabine Parish, Louisiana. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1. Jas K.P. Raines was born about 1844; and died.
2. Alanson B. Lance Raines was born on 8 Nov 1846 in Louisiana; died on 21 Oct 1928 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana; was buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Sabine Parish, Louisiana.
3. Mahala Raines was born about 1848; and died.
