Mildred married William Payne on 1 Sep 1791 in Kentucky. William (son of Edward Payne and Ann Holland Conyers) was born on 21 Mar 1755 in Fayette County, Kentucky; died on 21 Feb 1829 in Mason County, Kentucky. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

According to his will, the eight (surviving??) children of Mildred and William Payne were John Newton Payne, Buckner Harrison Payne, Dulcinea Ryan, Clarrisa Payne, Augustus Henry Fitzherbert Payne, Edward Payne, Nancy Morton Payne, and Lucilla Harrison Payne. It appears that they had additional children that died young.

2. Sanford Payne was born on 22 Nov 1794; died on 16 Feb 1796.
3. Maria Payne was born on 20 May 1796; died on 2 Dec 1814.

5. Buckner Harrison Payne was born on 9 Dec 1800 in Mason County, Kentucky; and died.
6. Peggy Payne was born on 15 Nov 1802 in Mason County, Kentucky; died on 28 Dec 1802.
7. Dulcinea Harrison Payne was born on 15 Jan 1804 in Mason County, Kentucky; and died.
8. Clarissa Payne was born on 19 Aug 1805 in Mason County, Kentucky; and died.
9. Augustus Henry Fitzherbert Warburton Keats Payne was born on 4 Apr 1807 in Mason County, Kentucky; died on 14 Jun 1863 in Clinton County, Missouri.
