Mrs. Jaus, 80, dies

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Olive Jaus, 80, Cass City, who died at her house Tuesday, March 2.

She was born December 13, 1895 in Greenleaf Township, daughter of the late Edward and Susan (Ballagh) WRIGHT.

She married Gust FRAHM on December 25, 1918 in Greenleaf Township. He died in 1937. She married Fred JAUS in Clarkston on June 8, 194. Following their marriage, they made their home in Cass City where she lived until her death. Mrs. Jaus was a member of the Salem United Methodist church. She is survived by ehr husband; one step-daughter, Mrs. Laura LENZNER of Bad Axe; three brothers, Alvin WRIGHT of Mt. Morris, Orrin WRIGHT of Cass City and Curtis WRIGHT of Pontiac; three sisters, Mrs. Leland NICOL and Mrs. Myrtle McCOLL, both of Cass City and Mrs. Erwin BAKER of Lake Orion. Rev. Harold Prong, pastor of the Novesta Church of Christ will officiate at funeral services, scheduled Thursday at 1:00 p.m from Little's. Burial will be in Elkland Cemetery.

Olive married Frederick W. Jaus on 8 Jun 1941 in Clarkston, Oakland County, Michigan. Frederick (son of Johann Georg Jaus and Christina Benkelman) was born on 3 Nov 1881 in Elkland Township, Tuscola County, Michigan; died on 15 Oct 1984 in Bad Axe, Huron County, Michigan; was buried in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City, Tuscola County, Michigan.
