CAMARILLO, Calif. - Margaret H. Bush, 99, died Monday April 28, 2003.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mrs. Bush was born Dec. 23, 1903, near Estacado, Texas, to Guy and Nora Hamblin and was the oldest of six children. She graduated high school, attended secretarial school and lived and worked in Houston before marrying John S. Bush in 1929. They lived in Amarillo throughout her married life and raised two children. She was active in study, garden and bridge clubs. She was a member of the American Rose Society and was a longtime member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was an excellent cook and known for growing prize roses. She moved to Camarillo in January 1998 to be near her family and was a member of Camarillo Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John S. Bush; a son, Jerry Don Bush of Fort Worth; and four siblings. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Rush and husband, John, of Camarillo; a sister, Quineta Williams of Parachute, Colo.; three granddaughters, Christian Bush of Fort Worth, Nancy Knapp of Benbrook, Texas, and Sana Webb of El Sobrante; two grandsons, Michael Bush of Mount Enterprise, Texas, and Eric Peterson of Santa Cruz; four great-grandchildren, Nestor Mcauliffe, Maya, Kendra and Isabella Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
