    MARGAURITE GRAHAM, 58, of Duncan, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, in her home.
    Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Duncan City Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

    Margaurite was born July 1, 1948, in Duncan. She served the elderly as an Elder Care case manager for Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments (ASCOG) prior to her retirement in 2001.

    Diagnosed in 1997 with cancer, Margaurite battled through numerous recurrences of this terrible disease. Finally, her body gave out. Even though she lost the physical battle, her soul and spirit remain forever strong. Her journey was always filled with joy, laughter and optimism, and she always maintained her infectious enthusiasm for life. She displayed the courage, grace and dignity that comes with a loving and giving heart.

    She is survived by her husband, John; her father, Wilson Witty of Duncan; two daughters, Carie Woody and husband Steve of South Bend, Ind., and Cori Rennaker and husband Clay of Rush Springs; a son, Chad Trawick and wife Missy of Keller, Texas; a brother, Edwin Witty and wife Karla of Duncan; a nephew, D.J. Witty of Norman; stepdaughters, Dohn McCarn and husband Michael, and Angy Stewart and husband Kevin, all of Blanchard, and Charity Haywood and husband Mike of Yukon; eight grand-children, Taylor Woody, Taryn Woody, Tallye Woody, Mackenzie Manuel, Jacob Manuel, McKailey Rennaker, Casey Trawick and Carson Trawick; and eight step-grandchildren, Megan McCarn, Elizabeth McCarn, Katlyn McCarn, Emily McCarn, Ellie Stewart, Garrison Stewart, Brittany Haywood and Hunter Haywood.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, Denva Lee Witty.

    Bearers will be Larry Harris, Richard Allen, Rick Marshall, Darrell Beaver, Lynn Edwards and Brian Churchman.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Westside Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under direction of the Grantham Funeral Home. Trawick was born Nov. 29, 1910 in Alma. He had lived in Duncan since 1942 and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. He retired from Halliburton Services in 19(can't read). He married Ruby Pierce on Feb.25, 1932 in Alma. Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Pat Elam of 423 N. 21st, Mrs Darlene Wood of Duncan Rt. 5, and Miss Dolores Trawick of Oklahoma City; two sons, George of Dallas, Tex. and Larry of 2111 Townsend Drive and 11 grandchildren.

    Talley married Ruby Ione Pierce on 25 Feb 1932 in Alma, Stephens County, Oklahoma. Ruby (daughter of James William Mills Pierce and Alice Emaline Tussey) was born on 6 Sep 1911 in Oklahoma; died on 13 Aug 1989 in Duncan, Stephens County, Oklahoma. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    The Duncan Banner-Feb. 5, 1959 Funeral Is Held For George A. Trawick Funeral was held Sunday afternoon for George A. Trawick, 86 year old retired grocer and farmer, who died last Friday in a local hospital after an illness. He lived at 706 Pecan. Trawick came from Montague County, Texas, before statehood and lived for many years in the Alma area. He moved to Duncan in 1845. (SIC) Survivors include the widow; the sons, Jim of 709 Stephens, Tally of 1115 Sycamore, and Hardy of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Jim Bussey, Duncan route 3; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rennolds (Rennels), Elk City, and Mrs. Susie McMann (McMinn) of Texas; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral was held in the Velma Church of Christ with C. C. Abbot, minister of the West Side Church of Christ here, officiating. Burial was in Alma Cemetery by Brooks Funeral home.

    Mrs. Belle Zora Trawick, 82, of 706 Pecan, died about 4 a.m. today in a local hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Trawick was born in Texas, Oct. 22, 1881, moving from Stateland, Tex. to Alma, and to Duncan in 1945. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ. Her husband, George, died in February 1959. Survivors are three sons, Jim, 709 Stephens, Talley, 1115 Sycamore, and Hardy, 706 Pecan; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the West Side Church of Christ with Orrin Utley officiating. Burial will be in Alma Cemetery under the direction of Brooks Funeral Home. Bearers are George Sanner, Jack Bryant, Dalton Voss, Charlie Howell, Andy Gilmore, and Ed Snider.
