    Notes:

    According to the Pictorial History of Sabine County, he played football at Hemphill High School circa 1954. Was also on the staff of the school library in 1956.

    Keith Fuller, 81, of San Augustine, Texas passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas.

    Keith was born October 1, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Joe and Ruth Fuller. He worked as a lineman for Deep East Texas Co-Op in San Augustine before retiring after many years of service.

    He is survived by his son, Mike Fuller and wife, LaDonna, of Livingston, Texas and daughter, Martha Mazzella and husband, Mark, of Washington, Texas; brothers, Wayne Fuller and wife, Freddie, of Rosevine, Texas and Tommy and wife, Bonnie, of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with visitation beginning one hour prior to service. Bro. Floyd Wright will officiate.

    Burial will follow service in Rosevine Cemetery in Rosevine, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home.

    Serving as pallbearers are S. J. Butler, Floyd Butler, Neil Beall, Harold Horn, David Davidson, and Darrell Turner.

She had married second Vernice Sanford Cartwright. And although the SSDI has her birthday as June 17, 1912, a photo of her gravestone shows it as June 18, 1912.

    Billie T. McGown, 93, of Milam, passed away Tuesday morning in Woodville, Texas. B.T. was born near Milam to Perry L. and Vera Williams McGown and has lived there all his life. He married Lonnie Love Walton on March 24, 1938, and they celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary this year. Together they owned and operated B.T. McGown Grocery until retirement. They then continued to raise cattle, planted and harvested a big garden. The highlight of retirement was camping and fishing with family and friends at Harborlight Campground. B.T. was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Geneva and a member of the Sexton Masonic Lodge No. 251 in Milam, Texas.

    Mr. McGown is survived by his wife Lonnie McGown, two daughters; Merle Davis and her husband Charles of Woodville, Joyce Lowery and her husband John of Jasper, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother A.P. McGown of Pt. Neches, his sister Rosemary McGee of Lake Jackson, Texas, and his sister-in-law Dorothy McGown of Houston. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruce McGown and his great granddaughter Coleen McInnerney.

    Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM, Friday evening, June 27, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, June 28, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the McGown Cemetery, Milam, Texas.

    Lonnie Love McGown, 92, of Milam, passed away Monday evening in the Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville, Texas. She was born in Sabine County to J.U. and Fannie Fussell Walton. Lonnie was a member of the Geneva Baptist Church in Geneva, Texas.

    Lonnie married Billie T. McGown on March 24th, 1938, and celebrated their 76th anniversary before Billie passed away on June 24, 2014. The four months she lived on this earth without her precious husband, she was looking forward to this day when she would be with him again. Billie had left instructions for their two daughters to take care of their mother, and they were by her side when she left for Heaven to be with their dad.

    Lonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Myrtle Walton Poole and her great granddaughter Colleen McInnerney. She is survived by her daughters Merle Davis and her husband Charles of Woodville, Joyce Lowery and her husband John of Jasper, her niece Donna White and her husband Mike of Katy, Texas, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

    Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2014, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. The family will welcome friends in the Chapel one hour before service time. Burial will follow in the McGown Cemetery, Milam, Texas.

    Notes:

    At the time of the 1900 census, he was living between his older brother William and his wife's parents, John and Jane Fullen.

    The following obituary was published regarding the death of Joseph Fuller:

    Funeral services for Joseph Thomas Fuller, 81, were held at the Church of God at Rosevine, Thursday, November 30 at 2:00 o'clock. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Grover Eddings, in Rosevine on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 pm after a prolonged illness.

    Services were conducted by Rev. C.S. Singleton officiating and assisted by Rev. Clarence Howell. Burial was in the Rosevine cemetery under the direction of the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.

    Mr. Fuller moved to Texas at the age of two. He was born at Malvern, Arkansas November 4, 1869. He was married to Alice Pointer March 27, 1917. He had been a member of the Church of God for the past 37 years.

    Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Alice Fuller; four daughters: Mrs. V.E. McLemore of San Augustine, Mrs. Grover Eddings of Rosevine. Mrs. O.H. Williams of East Bernard, Mrs. W.D. Cousins of Sarepta, LA; two step daughters Mrs. Denton Kerr of Houston, Mrs. Hamp Woods of San Augustine; three sons L.A. of Hemphill, Herman of Rosevine and J.S. of San Antonio, five step-sons: Enlow Birdwell of San Augustine, Estes Birdwell of Chinquapin, Oscar Birdwell of San Augustine, W.M. Pointer of Big Lake and M.B. Pointer of Corpus Christi; 23 grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, 29 step grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

    Pallbearers were: Dale Tisdale, Buddy Pointer, Fred Ellison, Elo Finderson, Henry Marshburn and Louis McDonald.

    Notes:

    She was married first to a Birdwell, and was later the second wife of Joseph Fuller. They had two children together, and sadly Blanche died of tuberculosis some five years after her second marriage. Her stepsons, Price and Brooks, died of this as well. Her step-daughter, Ethel was also infected, and was confined to a tuberculosis santitarium in the Dallas area as a young woman. Ethel survived, however, living into her eighties.
