Ronnie Paul McClelland, 72, of Bronson, Texas passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his residence.

Ronnie was born November 24, 1948 in Pineland, Texas to Alton McClelland and Geneva Elaine Bryan. He was a 38 year resident of Bronson, having previously resided in Brookeland, Texas. He worked as a Maintenance Technician with Texas Department of Transportation for many years before his retirement.

Ronnie enjoyed woodworking, carving and knitting caps. He was a member of the Brookeland and Bronson Masonic Lodges.

Ronnie is survived by his mother, Geneva Elaine McClelland of Brookeland; son, William "Joey" McClelland of Bronson; daughter, Julia Ann McClelland of Hemphill; and sister, Gloria Simpson and husband, Bobby, of Brookeland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline McClelland and his father, Alton McClelland.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Eli Carranza officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to service.

Burial will follow services with Masonic Rites in Harpers Chapel Cemetery in Hemphill.

Pauline Ellison-McClelland, 59, passed away in her home Thursday morning, September 24, 2015. Pauline was born in Hemphill, Texas to Paul and Bertha Lord Ellison. She was a stay at home mother and home maker. Pauline has been a part Sabine County Community all of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Ronnie McClelland of Bronson, her son: William Joseph "Joey" McClelland of Bronson, her daughter Julia Ann McClelland of Bronson, her brothers: Ralph Cunningham and wife Melissa of Marshall, Texas, and Robert Earl Cunningham Jr. of Hemphill, her sister Bobbie Harley of Pineland, her nieces: Kaye Jones of Katy, Texas and Rita Glover of Pineland, her great nephews Deonte Warren of Katy, Texas and Roman Havard of Pineland, and her great niece Madison Havard of Hemphill. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Bertha Lord Ellison.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2015, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St. Hemphill. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Harpers Chapel Cemetery.

Alton McClelland, 83 of Brookeland, Texas died on June 17, 2011 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 3pm Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Stringer & Griffin Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow at the Brookeland Cemetery.

Alton was a long time resident of Brookeland and was employed with Temple-Inland for over 44 years. He loved fishing, hunting, red roses, Brookeland basketball and spending time with his family. He was a song leader at the Church of Christ for over 58 years and was nicknamed "Red".

Alton is survived by his loving wife for over 65 years, Geneva McClelland of Brookeland, daughter Gloria Simpson & husband Bobby of Brookeland, son Ronnie McClelland & wife Pauline of Bronson, five grand-children, Bobbie Freeman & husband Rick of Houston, Lt. Col. Kevin Simpson & wife Karina of Springfield, Virginia, Kimberly Kant & husband Umesh of Houston, Julia McClelland of Pineland, Texas, William Joseph (Joey) McClelland of Nacogdoches, Texas, ten great-grandchildren, Erica Simpson, Lauren Freeman, Ashley Merritt, PFC Timothy Britt Wissing, Mathew Freeman, Allison Conner, Kyle Simpson, Andrew Simpson, Melanie Simpson, and Devan Kant; and three great great-grandchildren, Tayton Merritt, Daniella Alvarez, and Mikayla Merritt.

He is also survived by a host of beloved friends and relatives.

Alton is predeceased by his parents, William Joseph and Allean McClelland, five brothers, three sisters and grandson, Kyle Mark Simpson.
