Grover Cleveland Clark Sr
Grover Cleveland Clark Sr., 58, of Hemphill, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Hemphill Care Center.
He was born Dec. 22, 1949 in Hemphill to Ralph C. Clark and Hazel T. Allen and had lived in Hemphill his entire life. He was a machine operator for Temple Inland.
Survivors: one son, Grover Cleveland Clark, Jr. of Hemphill; daughter April Lynn Clark of Houston, brother R. C. "Buddy" Clark of Hemphill, sister, Shirley Ferguson of Hemphill and two grandchildren, Breianna and Darrian.
Graveside Funeral services were held Friday, April 11 in Springhill Cemetery with Bro. Glenn Morton officiating.
Services were under the direction of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.

Diane Moore Clark, 75, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at Legacies Nursing and Rehab in Hemphill.
Diane was born December 21, 1947 in Patroon, Texas to Amos Moore and Laverne Noel Moore. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and a loving homemaker and mother. She enjoyed crafting and bingo and she loved to cook.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brothers, W. J. "Don" Moore and Edward Paul Moore and her sister, Juanita Amason.
She is survived by her son, Cleveland Clark of Jefferson, Texas; daughter, April Clark Bennett of Houston; brothers, Cotton Moore of Milam and Rodney Moore of Hemphill; sisters, Carolyn Horne of Geneva, Shirley Jasper of Milam, Mary Collis of Hemphill and Helen Jacks of Pineland; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 in West Hamilton Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to service at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jenssen Rivera, Matt Amason, Michael Amason, Wes Amason, Mason Clegg, Ricky Joe Moore, Cody Ebarb, Lance Moore, Logan Gary, Donald Moore, Darion Rogers, Carl Horne, Jr., Jacob Moore, Craig Jasper and Jason Clegg.

Hazel Thelma Snyder
Hazel Thelma Snyder, 76, of Hemphill died at 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at her residence.
She was born April 5, 1925, in Hemphill as a daughter of the late Violet (Coleman) and Rubin Allen. Mrs. Snyder was a lifelong resident of the Hemphill area.
Survivors: a special friend, Mike Grimaldo of Hemphill; sons, Grover Cleveland Clark of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and R. C. Clark Jr of Hemphill; a daughter, Shirley Ferguson of Hemphill; a sister, Winnell Spears of Hemphill; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside rites were held Nov. 8 at the Springhill Cemetery near Hemphill with Bro. Vance Purtell officiating.
