    Helen L. Jirovsky, 88, of Fremont passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at the Hooper Care Center in Hooper.

    Helen was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Morse Bluff to Emil and Lillian (Wesely) Tenopir. Helen grew up at Cedar Bluffs and graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School. She married Frank J. Jirovsky on May 11, 1949, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs. Helen and Frank farmed near Cedar Bluffs until moving to Fremont in 1977. Frank passed away May 2, 2012.

    Helen was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, the Catholic Daughters, and the Cedar Bluffs American Legion Auxiliary Post 158. Some of Helen's hobbies included sewing, crafting, baking kolaches and pies. She was active serving Meals on Wheels in Fremont. Helen also worked at a fabric store in Fremont.

    Helen is survived by her sons, David (Linda) Jirovsky of Fremont and Frank Jr. (Kim) Jirovsky of Cedar Bluffs; daughters, Cathy (Ken) Pieper and Mary (Chuck) Williamson, all of Fremont; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

    Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and brother, Adolph Tenopir.

    The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Ron Battiato will officiate. A Catholic Daughters rosary/vigil service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation with family receiving friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.

    The funeral for Clayton R. Capron, 75, of Fremont will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

    He died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

    He was born Oct. 15, 1932, in Ames to Alfred* and Christena** (Tank) Capron. He grew up in Fremont and attended Fremont High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from Feb. 19, 1953, to Jan. 5, 1955. He was employed by Lyman Richey & Gravel for 35 years, retiring in 1994. He then did woodworking and displayed his products at area craft shows. He was an avid bowler and had a 300 game to his credit.

    He married Rita Dreikosen DeHaven on July 6, 1975, in Bridgeport.

    He was a member of the Fremont Bowling Hall of Fame, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 200, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854 and American Legion Post 20, all of Fremont.

    Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Kevin (and wife, Kim) Capron of Fremont and Bruce (and wife, Joan) DeHaven of Kearney; two daughters, Kim (and husband, Frank) Jirovsky of Cedar Bluffs and Cherre (and husband, T) Balius of North Platte; a brother, Raymond (and wife, Marilyn) Capron of Fremont; two sisters, Alfrieda (and husband, Charles) Dryden of Olympia, Wash., and Raynetta Renner of Lead, S.D.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and a grandson.

    The Rev. Scott Jensen, chaplain of Fremont Area Medical Center, will officiate Saturday's service. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday with family receiving friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont with military graveside services conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post 3854 and American Legion Post 20.

    Mary Jane Schnirl, 83, of Fremont, NE, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Valhaven Care and Rehabilitation Center in Valley, NE. She was born September 28, 1933, in River Sioux, Iowa to Abraham and Edith (Grothe) Ritchison.

    She was a graduate of Cedar Bluffs High School in 1952 and received her LPN in 1962 at the Omaha School of Practical Nursing. Mary married Clayton Capron on June 5, 1953 in Fremont and they later divorced. She worked for the Fremont Area Medical Center and the former Annex in Fremont as a LPN from 1962 until retirement in 1984. She married Frank Schnirl on Novermber 21, 1981 in Fremont. Frank passed away March 11, 2009.

    Mary enjoyed gardening and loved camping with her grandchildren.

    Mary was survived by her son, Kevin (Kim) Capron of Fremont; daughter, Kim (Frank) Jirovsky of Cedar Bluffs, NE; step son, Jim Schnirl of Omaha, NE; step daughter, Lynda Schnirl of Stromsburg, NE. 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

    Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; infant brother, Ronald; sisters, Menota Spencer and Harvene Hull.

    Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 17, 2017, at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate.
