    Notes:

    His name is shown by some as Ardice/Ardis/Artis Bashum ENER. His place of birth is also shown by some at Terry, Pennsylvania. This contradicts his obituary, below, in which he is shown as a native of Fairmount. It also contradicts the 1930 census, which shows his place of birth as Texas.

    A. B. Ener, 79, of Beaumont died Wednesday, February 21, 1996, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

    A native of Fairmount, he had lived in Beaumont several years and was a retired senior project engineer with Neches Butane. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

    Survivors: wife, Anna Belle Ener of Beaumont, son Ray Ener of Bridge City; daughters Kaye Bryant of Beaumont, Kathy Gilstrap of Alvin, and Marty Fazand of Tyler; a half-brother, Jimmy Dale Ener of Palestine; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Broussard's Mortuary chapel in Beaumont. Interment followed with Masonic rites at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
