    According to Book Three A PICTORIAL HISTORY OF SABINE COUNTY, TEXAS by Robert Cecil McDaniel, First Lieutenant Woodrow Wilson Arnold, Army, 1942 to 1946 served in England and France during World War II.

    Dot Arnold Ezell, 90, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010. Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Benbrook, 1015 McKinley, Benbrook. Interment: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Hemphill Cemetery, Hemphill. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.

    Mama Dot was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Shep. She moved to Kermit in 1936 and married Woody Arnold in 1941. They lived in numerous west Texas towns as well as Denver, Colo., before settling in Midland in 1959. They moved to Benbrook in 1975. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Benbrook. Mama Dot was a loving, kind, generous matriarch who welcomed everyone into her home with a warm smile and a delicious meal. Her strong faith and positive attitude leaves behind a legacy of love and blessings to all who knew her.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Woodrow W. Arnold, in 1979; her second husband, Beekman Ezell, in 1999; two brothers; and three sisters.

    Survivors: Son, Tom Arnold and wife, Dr. Nicki Arnold, of Plano; daughter, Cherry Arnold Whigham and husband, David, of Kermit; daughter, Ginger Arnold Leeper of Benbrook; son, Dr. Charles Arnold of Midwest City, Okla.; stepdaughters, Candy Ezell Rust and husband, Dr. Ron Rust, of Bryan and Dee Ezell Fanelli of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Brandon Arnold and wife, Meredith, Kristofer Arnold, Melinda Piercefield and husband, D.J., Matt Whigham, Tara Albertson and husband, Jason, Gatlin Arnold and McKeever Arnold; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Rowan, Cannon, Cooper and Ethan Arnold, Clara Faith Piercefield, and Paizley Albertson; sister, Pat Oliver Kreutzer; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.

  1. 12.  William Thomas Arnold, Jr. M. D. was born on 13 May 1880 in Texas (son of William Thomas Arnold, Sr. and Louisa Della Alford); died on 23 Dec 1937 in Sabine County, Texas; was buried in Hemphill City Cemetery, Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas.

    Notes:

    His actual texas certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, shows him as a son of W. T. Arnold and Della Louise Alford. Both parents were shows as born in Georgia.

    Wm. Thos. Arnold, Hemphill,was on a list of 11 members of the Sabine County Medical Society, June 1910, in the TEXA STATE JOURNAL OF MEDICINE, published in 1911. He was the Secretary.

    According to "A Pictorial History of Sabine County, Texas" the Dr. W.T. Arnold Home was built circa 1912.

    In his 2002 book, THE MYSTERY OF LADY BOUNTIFUL, Bob Bowman writes that a $5,000 bond was posted for Lillian Knox, accuses of murdering her husband, timber magnate Hiram Knox. The bond was singed by five Hemphill men, including Dr. Tom ARNOLD, a witness for the prosecution. The other four were E. P PADGETT, a lawyer; J.P. (sic) FULLER, who owned a drug store; L.E. PRATT, a merchant; and John W. MINTON, attorney for the Know family. Another press report listed S.R. Williams as surety. (Bowman, p. 105).

    William married Sarah Pearl Fuller on 2 Dec 1906 in Sabine County, Texas. Sarah (daughter of James Easter "Bud" Fuller and Hannah Pinkney Deweese) was born on 13 Nov 1881 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; died on 18 Jan 1957 in Harris County, Texas; was buried in Hemphill City Cemetery, Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas.
