Eddie Mae Patterson
Eddie Mae Strickland Patterson, 64, of Lufkin died Thursday, Aug. 11, 1994.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Gipson's Funeral Home chapel in Lufkin with D.R. McNaughten officiating. Interment followed at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Angelina county.
Born June 2, 1930, in Sabine County, she was a longtime resident of the Diboll/Lufkin area. Mrs. Patterson, preceded in death by her husband, James A. Patterson Jr. in 1991, was a member of the Church of God and a retired beautician.
Survivors: daughters, Dorothy Barlow of Lufkin, Bessie Ferguson and Jerri Ledford, both of Diboll; sisters, Dorothy Largent and Mary Smith, both of Houston; a brother, James Edward Strickland Jr. of Houston; and grandchildren, Tina Turner, Bubba Nevills, Codie Barlow, Angela Ferguson, Karen Ferguson, Katherine Ledford, and Shellie Ledford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Joe W. Elliott House at 220 Gene Samford Drive in Lufkin, TX 75901.

14. | James H. Edward "Ed" Strickland was born about 1905 in Texas (son of James D. Strickland and Mary "Mollie"Elizabeth Carter); and died. Notes:
ASSUMED this is James H. E(dward) Strickland, and that he was called Ed. I made this assumption because Carl Evan's research shows that Ney Carter and his only brother Ed married two sisters, Nora Humble and Elizabeth Humble.
James H.E. and Ney Carter appear to be the only two sons in the family, therefore it seems that James must have been called Ed, unless Carl Evan's research was incorrect.
James married Jane Elizabeth Humble. Jane was born after 1903; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
