  1. 4.  William Edward Hall, Sr. was born about 1906 in Arizona; and died.

    Notes:

There was a William Hall, born around the same time, who died in El Paso in June 1986. However, this was probably NOT the husband of Brooks S. Hall. The SSDI lists him simply as William Hall, born 9 Aug 1907 and died in June 1986 (453-05-1604). The Texas Death Index, however, has him listed as Willam Wade Hall, date of death June 27, 1986, El Paso County. Due to the differing middle name, it can not be safely assumed this was the same William Hall.

William married Lucretia "Daniel" Brooks Stedham on 30 May 1928. Lucretia (daughter of Daniel Rufus Stedham and Ola Maude "Myrtle" Stanfield) was born on 23 Nov 1906 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas; died on 31 Mar 1978 in El Paso County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  2. 5.  Lucretia "Daniel" Brooks Stedham was born on 23 Nov 1906 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas (daughter of Daniel Rufus Stedham and Ola Maude "Myrtle" Stanfield); died on 31 Mar 1978 in El Paso County, Texas.

    Notes:

    She was usually called Brooks.

    Notes:

The El Paso City Directory listings for Daniel Stedham, and from 1914 through 1920, he is listed as an "engr Mills bldg", with his residence at 3801 La Luz, which appears to be the address of the Mills building.

Daniel married Ola Maude "Myrtle" Stanfield on 23 Apr 1902 in El Paso County, Texas. Ola was born on 24 Dec 1879 in Fentress, Guadalupe County, Texas; died on 28 Apr 1960 in El Paso County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  2. 11.  Ola Maude "Myrtle" Stanfield was born on 24 Dec 1879 in Fentress, Guadalupe County, Texas; died on 28 Apr 1960 in El Paso County, Texas.

    Notes:

Melba Gene McLemore shows her as the daughter and ninth child of Thomas Buck STANFIELD and Rebecca Brooks PETTUS. Rebecca's father, Edward Craddock PETTUS fought in the Texas War for Independence, and his name is inscribed at the San Jacinto monument.

(Research):Listed as MYRTLE on the 1900 Census, and OLA on the 1930 Census.

Donald Stedham (drssms41@sbcglobal.net) lists her as Ola Maude STANFIELD, the daughter of Thomas Buck STANFIELD and Rebecca Brooks PETTUS, born 24 Dec 1879 and died 28 Apr 1960. Monica Palmer Dean provided the same information to Melba Gene McLemore.

    Notes:

    Married:
Melba Gene McLemore cites their marriage as taking place in El Paso, whearas Donald Stedham instead shows it as being in Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas.

Monica Palmer Dean also notes the marriage as taking place in El Paso. She further indicated that Daniel and Myrtle were the parents of two additional children, David Brooks and Louise, both of whom died young. David appears to have been a twin to Lucretia "Daniel."

    Children:
    1. Horace Rufus Stedham was born on 31 Jan 1903 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas; died on 22 Feb 1973 in Los Angeles County, California.
    2. Thomas Earl Stedham was born on 18 Mar 1904 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas; died on 20 Sep 1976 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.
