Charles Wayne "Buddy" Johnson, age 71, of Longview, Texas passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas.

Buddy was born in Pineland, Texas on February 28, 1950 to Carroll Lopez Johnson and Willie Ester Parker Johnson and had resided in Longview for the past 30 years.

He was a graduate of West Sabine High School and a retired Veteran of the United State Air Force and had served in Vietnam. Buddy enjoyed traveling with his late wife, Gayle. They often traveled by motorcycle and he enjoyed off road jeeping.

Buddy is survived by his daughters, Kelli Fajardo and husband, Rafael, of Longview and Kristy Shivers and husband, Brandon, of Henderson, Texas, his brothers, Keith Johnson and Randy Johnson and wife, Jewel, all of Pineland, Texas and grandchildren, Esther Fajardo, Gabe Fajardo, Sara Fajardo, Kenlie Shivers and Kylie Shivers.

He was preceded in death by is wife, Gayle White Johnson and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 6~8pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 1pm, Friday, September 3, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
