Mary Greenwood

Notes:

Mary R. Soukup, 74, of Lincoln, NE passed away on February 25, 2023. Born in 1949 to Kenneth Greenwood and Julia (Nyhoff) in Walla Walla, WA. Mary enjoyed baking and won numerous ribbons at competitions for her recipes. Gardening was another one of her passions; she spent many hours keeping up the plants and flowers in her garden and landscaping around the house. Another hobby she enjoyed was ceramics. She also enjoyed traveling to the Branson condominium and a few of her favorite things to do were Silver Dollar city, the shows, Table rock lake and the Amish Store. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren. Attending numerous sporting events including swim meets, barrel racing, rodeos, and motocross.

Survivors include husband John Soukup of Lincoln, NE. Daughter Kathy Pittman (Kenneth Pittman, Ryder's father) and son Ryder Pittman of Altadena, CA, and Lora (Scott) Delgado and their children Makenzie and Mason of Lincoln. Sons Jeff (Jessica) Soukup and their children Julia and Josie of Denton, NE and Jason Soukup (Zach Peterson) of Lincoln, NE. Nephew Johnny Greenwood. Close family/friends Sherry and Nick Savener, Angie and Paul Jedlicka and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by Parents Kenneth and Julia Greenwood, Brother John Greenwood and niece Jody Wolfe

Celebration of Her Life will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:00pm at Butherus Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. Family will be present 12-1pm. Memorials to the Capital Humane Society.
