Kolb - Elmer L., 75, Lincoln, died Monday (4/21/03). Retired cement mason and foreman, Olson Construction, 35 years. Army veteran, 6th Medical Detachment, World War II. Member, Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Union, 36 years, president for 30 years; International Association of the United States and Canada.

Survivors: wife, Norma; daughter, son-in-law, Linda and Roger Allington, Waverly; sisters, brother-in-law, Amelia Heckman, Flora Walters, Margaret and Harold Alles, all Lincoln; brothers, sister-in-law, Peter and Ruth Kolb, Wesley Kolb, all Lincoln; grandsons, Trevor Maack, Lincoln, Ryan Allington, Waverly; granddaughter and fiance, Tracy Allington and Jeremy Mumm, Ashland. Preceded in death by parents; brother, William, Edward, Arthur; sister, Marian; mother-in-law.

Elmer married Norma Loukota. Norma (daughter of Frank Loukota and Alice Kassik) was born on 5 Nov 1926 in Nebraska; died on 14 Oct 2009 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

At the time of the 1930 census, which was conducted in mid-April, Norma and her sister Dolores were living with their paternal grandparents, Frank and Josefa Loukota. Norma was listed as age 3 5/12, and Dolores was shown as 2 2/12, both born in Nebraska...with their father listed as born in Nebraska and their mother in Oklahoma. Norma was a 1944 graduate of Milligan High School, and Doris was a 1946 graduate. It therefore appears her year of birth was probably 1926, and not 1925 as shown by Carolyn Mastny.

Norma E. Kolb, 83, of Lincoln, widow of Elmer, died Wednesday (10/14/09). Homemaker. Active in North Bottoms Neighborhood Association.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Allington, Lincoln; three grandchildren, Trevor (Carly) Maack; Tracy (Jeremy) Mumm; Ryan (Jessica) Allington; one great grandson, Clint Mumm. Preceded in death by one sister.
Memorial services 11:00 a.m. Monday (10/19/09) at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street. Rev. Gil Karges. Inurnment: Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials to Lincoln Children's Zoo. Visitation with family 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at funeral home.

Alice (daughter of Albert Joseph Kassik, Sr. and Mary Soukup) was born on 10 Sep 1904 in Junction City, Comanche County, Oklahoma; died on 13 Sep 1929 in Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska; was buried in Bohemian National Cemetery (Milligan South), Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska. Fifty year member of the ZCJB Lodge Svatopluch Cech, and member of the village board for many years.

Albert married Mary Soukup on 20 Nov 1900 in Fillmore County, Nebraska. Mary (daughter of Frantisek "Frank" M. Soukup and Anna Beznoska) was born on 4 Jun 1881 in Morse Bluff, Saunders County, Nebraska; died on 9 Apr 1909 in Oklahoma; was buried in Bohemian Brethren Cemetery (AKA Cesky Bratri Cemetery), Fillmore County, Nebraska.
